An award winning, multi-faceted marketing company with publications in both digital and print wanted to build a list of meeting and event planners within a specific geographic area. The company intended to identify more than 5,000 planners along with their basic contact information, e.g., first name, last name, title, company, email, mobile number, mailing address, city, state, and zip code.
Open Look’s Human Intelligence Tasks (HITS) team started the project with a test. Keeping in mind the explicit specifications of the data sought, the team performed the research through various methods. They explored the web using different social media platforms, search engines, websites, associations and LinkedIn groups.
Using this structured methodology, the HITS team was able to gather more than 20 leads per hour. The client was impressed with the quality of leads the team gathered and as a result, they gave Open Look approval to continue the project.
